Biography

Born in 1970, studied Industrial Design at the College of Fine Arts, Hamburg, from 1992 -1993, work period with media artist Stephan von Huene, Hamburg, 1995-1997, worked at the light planning agency Ulrike Brandi in Hamburg from 1995-1997, diploma 1999, since then freelancer, co-founded the interdisciplinary group STROM in 2000, exhibited at the Furniture Fairs in London and Milan, exhibition »Sinne und Dinge« (»Senses and Things«) in Hamburg, 2001, awards: 1997 Nachlux Contest of Innovative Light Design, Cologne, First Prize with »Booklight«; 1999 Contest on the furnishing of the great chamber of the Financial Court in Hamburg, prize for the furnishing blueprint; Leitz Innovation Design Award Stuttgart, 4' prize for wooden card index box; 2000 IF-Design Award Hanover award for shelf system Klemm, also shown at the Expo in Hannover
