„Bender“

 

„Bender“ -  is made by lasercut, folded and powder-coated or galvanized steel plate. By using cable ties the legs are joined tot he seating plate. To prevent the legs from buckling under heavy weight, the construction is stabilized by four pre-stressed cable ties. The cable ties allow a quick assembly oft he stool without tools. Alternatively to the standard legs, the user hast he opportunity  to use other individual objects like used chair legs or branches. In this way individualized stools are generated and yet remain stackable due  tot he form oft he seating plate.

1982 born in Schwerin 2002- A-levels 2002-2003 civilian service and several internships 2003 studies of Industrial Design at „HKD Burg Giebichenstein“ 2006 IVM-Award for Innovation in cooperation with Stephan Schulz 2008 scholarship at the AAAD Prague 2008-2009 internship for four months at „Atelier Haussmann“ Berlin 2010 diploma degree Industrial Design at HKD Burg Giebichenstein 2010 participation in the exhibition „Graduate“ at Zona Tortona in Milan 2010 setting up an own studio
