Born in Aachen 1970, 1989 A-levels, 1990 - 1991 geography course in Marburg, 1992 - 1995 training as a cabinet maker in Esslingen, 1995 - 1998 traveled through Europe and the Anatolians, 1997 studied at College of Applied Arts Schneeberg, 2001 internship with Nils Holger Moormann, 2002 diploma degree with distinction, 2002 - 2003 worked as furniture designer for John Paul Fraser in London, 2003 freelance designer in Leipzig and co-founder of the design studio "studio Hartensteiner"; awards and nominations: 2002 Bavarian National Award for Handicraft, 2004 nomination for "inspired by cologne" and the "interior innovation award cologne"; exhibitons: 2002 Chemnitz and 2003 London
